The coronavirus crisis in Los Angeles County hospitals has become so bad that ambulance services have been told not to transfer patients with a low chance of survival to preserve hospital beds.

Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases that have inundated ICUs, the Southern California county is also asking ambulance crews to conserve bottled oxygen.
